Women's March on Washington
On January 21st, 2017, an estimated half a million people marched in Washington DC, USA, in support of women's rights, and to protest against the inauguration the previous day of President Donald Trump. Many more – estimates say a total of close to three million – marched in other cities across the United States that day, making it the largest mass demonstration since the Vietnam War, and possibly in the country's history. In urban centers across the world, mass protests took place in solidarity.
Pictured here are a few of the women who I met on that spectacular and emotional day.
